According to reports from Toyota, the automaker sold 1.16 million Corolla models in the year 2012. This, once again, puts the Toyota Corolla in Tacoma on top as the world’s best-selling vehicle. The Ford Focus came in 2nd, with 1.02 million units sold last year. Until 2011, when natural disasters forced Toyota to temporarily stop vehicle production, the Corolla was the world’s uncontested best-selling vehicle. Numbers show that the title isn’t going anywhere soon.
For 2013, Toyota has updated the Corolla’s exterior design, especially the front grille area, and in-car technology, adding a touchscreen display for the new multi-media center. The base model offers plenty of standard features and tons of tech once you take a step up in trim level.
Toyota is always rated high when it comes to dependability and vehicle value. With a 34 MPG capability and plenty of options, the Corolla is not only a #1 choice in the U.S., but around the globe.
