Toyota has, once again introduced something innovative and interesting.  Some assembly is definitely required for this one, but  it’s something families can do together.  The Toyota Camatte57s is an electric sports car designed for the whole family and was revealed this month during the Tokyo Toy Show.

This small three-seat new Toyota in Tacoma car features interchangeable body panels that can be mixed and matched to create the look your family deems most appropriate and fun for them.  The centrally-located driver’s seat and pedals can be adjusted to allow children to take the wheel, while a parent helps out with steering and brakes from the rear.

The idea behind the car is to build enthusiasm for driving, especially in Japan where people have been increasingly shunning car ownership in recent years, though there are no immediate plans to put it into production any time in the near future.  Toyota is always doing something fun and interesting, and when kids can get involved, it’s even better.
